The number of decisions under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP), as well as the number of domain names in those cases, each rose more than 11 percent year-over-year in the second quarter of 2026, according to data from GigaLaw’s Domain Dispute Digest.
The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the largest UDRP service provider, issued about 56.5 percent of all decisions in the quarter.
As the Digest reports, WIPO’s caseload of domain name disputes (which includes a number of policies for country-code top-level domains — ccTLDs — in addition to the UDRP) is on track for a record-setting year.
