Doug Isenberg spoke at the Georgia State University Corporate Intellectual Property Institute on October 25, 2012. His one-hour presentation was titled, "Everything Trademark Owners Ever Wanted to Know About the New Domain Name Process." The Institute is produced as a collaboration between the GSU College of Law and the J. Mack Robinson College of Business, for the educational benefit of corporations interested in maximizing the value of their intellectual property assets.

Doug Isenberg Attends WIPO Meeting in Geneva

Doug Isenberg attended the annual meeting of domain name panelists at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva on Monday, October 22, 2012. This year's meeting was attended by about 100 domain name panelists worldwide and included presentations and updates about the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) and rights-protection mechanisms for the new global top-level domains (gTLDs).

Doug Isenberg Speaks on 'Perspectives on New gTLDs'

Doug Isenberg participated in a panel discussion October 11, 2012, at the MarkMonitor Forum in San Francisco. The panel's title was "Managing a Changing Online Environment -- Perspectives on New gTLDs." The panel was moderated by Elisa Cooper of MarkMonitor and, in addition to Mr. Isenberg, included Susan Kawaguchi of Facebook, Christopher Sloan of Liberty Mutual and Beth Allegretti of Fox.

Doug Isenberg Interviewed for TV Affiliates About Copyright Theft Online

Attorney Doug Isenberg of The GigaLaw Firm was recently interviewed for a segment that was broadcast on TV stations around the country, including ABC and CBS affiliates, discussing legal issues related to unauthorized copying of photographs on the Internet. In the interview, Isenberg notes that even personal photographs on Facebook pages are protected by the law: "Anything that you or I can create, as long as it is an original work of authorship, is protected under U.S. copyright law... It can include photographs, video, audio."
