Doug Isenberg won two proceedings under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) involving four domain names for the Wikimedia Foundation, operator of the Wikipedia websites. Wikimedia legal counsel Yana Welinder wrote about the victories in a blog post titled "Victory for Free and Neutral Knowledge." The proceedings are WIPO Case No. D2014-0920 (for the domain names <getawikipedia.com>, <getonwikipedia.com> and <wikipediapagecreators.com) and WIPO Case No. D2014-0921 (for the domain name <onwikipedia.com>). In both cases, the registrant of the domain names was using them in connection with websites selling pages on Wikipedia. The UDRP panelists found that this activity was in bad faith and ordered all four domain names transferred to Wikimedia.
