Gov. Jerry Brown has signed bills that recognize the legal use of Bitcoins and other digital currencies in California, his aides announced. AB 129 will allow Bitcoins and other digital currency to be legally used in transactions in California by repealing a provision of state law that bars the use of "anything but the lawful money of the United States."
