Republican and Democratic lawmakers reintroduced legislation that could force Internet retailers to collect sales taxes, the latest effort by states and Washington to end what they call a handicap on brick-and-mortar businesses. The Marketplace Fairness Act would allow states to collect sales taxes from online retailers for transactions within the state.
