Man in TJX Credit Card Theft Scheme Gets 5 Years

Irving Escobar, a key figure in a scheme to defraud TJX customers by using their credit card information to buy Wal-Mart gift cards in Florida, was sentenced to five years in prison. Escobar was the endpoint of a sophisticated crime operation that started with the digital theft of credit card data on 45.7 million customers of TJX -- parent company of retailers T.J. Maxx and Marshalls.
