N.J. Court Allows Internet Label Case Against Californian

A New Jersey appeals court has ruled that a California resident accused of making libelous statements in a Web-based forum can be sued in New Jersey because the material was "targeted" toward a New Jersey audience. Because the material was directed toward a New Jersey resident, the defendant had reason to foresee he would be hauled into court in that state, the appeals court held.
