Debate Continues Over Access to Domain Registration Data

The issue of Web site registration information has pitted privacy advocates against intellectual property attorneys and their clients for years, but it's unlikely that there will be a final decision anytime soon. Under a proposed compromise, Web site owners would be able to keep confidential most of their contact information, listing a point of contact for people who might want to reach them.
