Congressman Has Long List of Internet Legislation

A key House Democrat said his 2007 goals are to enact legislation related to Net neutrality, patents, and broadband regulation and taxation, including authorizing local governments to offer their own Internet service. Brokering a truce between Internet companies and network operators that have been battling over Net neutrality legislation is a top priority, Rep. Rick Boucher of Virginia said in his kickoff speech at an annual conference organized by the Congressional Internet Caucus Advisory Committee.
