Intel Corp. is refuting Transmeta Corp.'s claims that the world's largest computer chipmaker infringed on 11 of the company's patents, answering with a countersuit accusing its smaller rival of infringing on seven Intel patents. Intel filed its lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Delaware, the same place Transmeta filed its claim in October alleging that several of Santa Clara-based Intel's popular Pentium products infringed on its patents covering computer architecture and power efficiency technologies.
