Registrants Grab More Than 75,000 .mobi Domain Names

Businesses and individuals in more than 100 countries registered over 75,000 wireless Web sites with a "dot-mobi" domain name when the registration was opened to the public, according to Mobile Top Level Domain, the company that manages the domain name. The U.S., Canada and China topped the list of countries with the most registrations, followed by a few European countries and Japan, the company says.
